Megs
Director and Outdoor Learning Practitioner
Megan is a qualified level 3 Forest School Leader in Oxfordshire and has worked within the education sector since 2015. When not in the woods, Megs can be found in the garden, crafting, or at the family's allotment.
In August 2022 Megs launched Hoglet and Twig, Wild Explorers, an outdoor learning provision for children. The sessions offer a safe space for young children and their families to experience the magic of nature and create small memorable adventures amongst everyday life.
Understanding the importance and need for nature connection, Megs centres the provision around four key values, including;
Nature connection, providing little ones a multi-sensory experience, helping to build brains and bodies, improving both physical and mental health.
Child centred, recognising that lifelong learning, behaviour and health starts in the early years.
Play inspired, learning through play helps to spark creativity, imagination, encourages communication and helps to regulate emotions, making sense of the world around them.
Community focused, building a supportive and encouraging community driven be kindness and inclusivity.
Megan also holds additional qualifications in Education and Training, Understanding Mental Health in Early Years and Young People, and a Level 3 Outdoor First Aid certificate.
Hoglet and Twig is a registered limited company, and is insured through Birnbeck Insurance Services.
